Tuition Assistance

For those with the resources to afford the full tuition, the benefits of a Christ-centered education are well worth the investment. But what about those families who want to send their children to Catholic school, but simply don't have the income to pay the full cost of tuition? Below are some of the different resources St. Cecilia Catholic School has available to these families.

Student Tuition Organization (STO)

The Our Faith, Our Children, Our Future School Tuition Organization (STO) is a  program that provides financial assistance to qualifying families to make the Catholic School of their choice more affordable. The Education Opportunities Act restricts tuition assistance to K-12 students who are Iowa residents and  whose taxable income does not exceed an amount equal to four times the federal poverty guideline. Preschool tuition is not eligible. 

Students must attend a school represented by the Our Faith School Tuition Organization in order to be eligible. To view the schools participating in the Our Faith STO program please click here.

The STO program will be utilizing FACTS Management to assist in determining the level of assistance to be awarded. FACTS Management has an application that families need to complete to be considered for assistance. 

The FACTS application needs to be completed no later than April 15th. The
application is available online at online.factsmgt.com/aid. Both English and Spanish applications are available. You must upload a completed federal tax return and all related documents. For families with business income/loss, please include:

• Business-send Schedule C or C-EZ and Form 4562 Depreciation and Amortization
• Farm-send Schedule F and Form 4562 Depreciation and Amortization
• Rental Property-send Schedule E (page 1)
• S-Corporation-send Schedule E (page 2), Form 1120S (5 pages), Schedule K-1 and Form 8825
• Partnership-send Schedule E (page 2), Form 1065 (5 pages), Schedule K-1 and Form 8825
• Estates and Trusts-send Schedule E (page 2), Form 1041 and Schedule K-1

Families that are not required to file federal income tax will have to provide supporting documentation for all household Non-Taxable Income such as Social Security Income, Welfare, Child Support, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Workers' Compensation, and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF).

Tax and wage documents must be uploaded by April 15th.  

You must apply to FACTS STO in order to be considered for our Local Scholarship Tuition Assistance. The round 1 deadline for STO applications is May 3rd and the round 2 deadline is August 9th.

Local Tuition Assistance

You will receive a tuition contract showing either your ESA/FACTS STO/Local Scholarship assistance. If this amount doesn’t meet your financial needs for the school year, you may apply for our Local Tuition Assistance.  Please complete the application below and return it to the school office.  All information is confidential.
