I grew up in Emmetsburg, Iowa and am one of seven children. I attended Emmetsburg Catholic School, Emmetsburg Public School, Iowa Lakes Community College, then transferred to Briar Cliff College, where I graduated with a major in Psychology and a minor in Elementary Education. I currently live in Gilbert with my husband, Rick. We share two children, Danielle and Devin.
Since employed at St. Cecilia School I have had experience teaching third grade, kindergarten, and am now currently in first grade. My ultimate goal for my first graders is to help them learn the skills they need to be respectful, caring, honest, and successful Christian-like citizens. First grade provides an opportunity for children to continue their education with a positive attitude about school, celebrate the uniqueness of others, get excited about their love for learning, as well as build feelings of success.
St. Cecilia is such a wonderful, loving, faith-based school where every teacher and staff member knows and loves all of God’s children. I can describe our school as one big family where we are able to teach the whole child. I feel honored to be a part of the wonderful St. Cecilia family.
