Hi. My name is Whitney Johns and I teach K-6 Art. I was born and raised in Dallas, Texas and moved to Ames about 15 years ago. After high school, I attended a small private art school in Dallas where I studied Interior Design. After graduating, I worked for an architecture firm where our main focus was designing schools. When my husband Cory and I moved to Iowa I enrolled at ISU to study Elementary Education. I taught in the Ames Community School District for a few years before our children were born. We have three daughters: Vivian, Hazel, and Olive. I enjoy traveling, reading, photography, and spending time with friends and family. Our family is thrilled to start this new chapter at Saint Cecilia School.
