Hand, Michele

I grew up on a family farm near Salem, IA (southeast corner of the state).  My start in Catholic education began in kindergarten.  I graduated from Marquette Catholic (now Holy Trinity).  I went to Central College in Pella, graduating with a degree in Elementary Education.  I have endorsements in early childhood education and reading.  While at Central I met my husband Jon at a church function.

My husband, Jon, and I were married in 2006.  We live in the country by Maxwell.  We love the space and ability to be close to his parents and the family farm.  We are the proud parents of Claire and Oliver.

When I’m not teaching I enjoy family time, gardening and cooking.
