Hello, we hope this letter finds you and your family well. What a strange way to end the 2019-2020 school year. We appreciate your understanding and extra work during this time. We are looking forward to our 2020-2021 school year and are planning for your return.
Your 2020-2021 official registration is to be completed using PowerSchool e-registration.
The window for completing this process is July 22-29, 2020. We are sorry for the short window of time, however, PowerSchool doesn’t get rolled-over until mid-July. This letter is being sent now before the school office closes for the summer, so you can put this important registration date reminder on your calendar.
PowerSchool is the student information system that St. Cecilia School uses to update all student permissions, emergency and medical information yearly. PowerSchool also has the potential for parents to access significant data to stay current with student education, school bulletins, and hot lunch balances. You can set up alerts to have school bulletins and hot lunch alerts.
Step 1:
Go to: https://archd.powerschool.com/public/ (additional instructions, videos and FAQ can be found on our website under ‘Parent’ then ‘PowerSchool’ tabs.
New families, your login/password is on the label at the bottom of this letter. Please note you need to ‘Create an Account’ and not use the ‘Login.’
Returning families, you should have your login/password from prior year. If you don’t remember, there’s a link under PowerSchool, "Having trouble signing in?" for you to request this information or contact Tana Tesdall at ttesdall@stceciliaschoolames.org for assistance.
Step 2:
Every family will need to set up a FACTS account as we will bill tuition and fees through FACTS starting next school year. This site is secure and after using this site for one year, we are assured with their security and manageability.
If you already have a FACTS account through the Student Tuition Organization (STO), you will use the same sign on and will see a separate tab ‘Payment Plan & Billing.’
If you do not have a FACTS STO account already, please ‘create an account.’
Upon signing in or creating an account, you will go through a set up process which will include adding your students and picking a payment plan option.
After completing this process, your account will be ‘pending.’
The office will receive notice and enter your 2020-2021 tuition and fees to ‘finalize’ your account, then your payment will start on the date you selected. Please note that our fees will be the Family School Association $10 per student fee and field trip fees but you would receive notification when these fees are added and due.
If you have a 529 plan, you may request to have it transferred to the account you are using to pay your tuition through FACTS.
This process should take thirty minutes or less to complete. This is part of your official registration, so please make this a priority and complete it during July 22-29, 2020. Lunch Fees: Student lunch fees (all lunches include one milk) are: $3.55 per day, $71.00 per month (20 days) or $639.00 per year (180 days).
Student milk fees are: $.50 per day.
Guest lunches are $4.00 per day and should be called into the office by 10 a.m.

ACPC (Before & After School Child Care): Enclosed is the information sheet on ACPC, our before and after school care for kindergarten through fifth graders. To reserve a spot, please fill out a waiting list form on their website,
www.acpc-childcare.org. If you have questions, please contact them at #515-233-2901.
Durham School Services/Busing: Also enclosed is the form from Durham School Services for busing. If you want your child(ren) to ride the bus to and/or from school, you MUST complete the enclosed form and mail it or take it directly to Durham School Services, 1220 S. Bell Avenue, Ames or emailed to Sara Knight:
sjknight@hurhamschoolservices.com by July 18, 2020 in order to be considered for busing starting on the first day of school. Do not return the completed form to St. Cecilia School, it needs to go directly to Durham School Services. If you have any questions, please contact Durham School Services at #515-233-5421. Please do not contact Ames Community Schools for busing. Above is our form and procedure with Durham School Services.
